The key to college life is time management. 

When I first launched this site I had just graduated with my undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University (go Q’pac!) and had published a book under the same name (not Quinnipiac... Dorm Workout.) Yet as the project grew I began to realize that there is not a lot of advice out there specifically directed to the collegian lifestyle. Better yet, when I began my graduate studies after a few years off in the “real world” an even funnier realization hit... gaining weight, making time to workout, and eating problems are not only issues that freshman or even undergrads in general go through, but it can strike whenever you are immersed in a stressful academic situation. So I am switching gears to provide a one stop, go-to site for fitness and eating advice for the student of any age!

Whether we are talking about keeping up our GPAs or keeping our bodies healthy, there shouldn't be any difference. College is a lot of stress that’s for sure; having to perform well on papers, exams, and presentations while maintaining some form of social life. Our bodies tend to take a back seat even if we were avid gym-goers before going to school. Putting aside time to take care of our bodies should be just as important as putting aside time to study. Let's be real…sometimes even a half hour at the gym is just physically impossible, especially around finals. So what is a stressed college student to do? The Dorm Workout is a lifestyle of healthy living on (and off) campus. It gives the university student the information that they need to obtain their fitness goals even amid the chaotic environment of dorms, study lounges, and libraries. It also helps to reinforce those fitness goals with exercise tips as well as healthy eating advice.

Many of my friends tell me they would do more to preserve their health while studying if they just knew what to do. With following some “healthy U lifestyle” recommendations, it becomes easier to keep up that lifestyle and stay in shape. This site will tell you how so it is not such a daunting task.

With Dorm Workout and the Healthy U Lifestyle, fitness and well-being in college become manageable. It takes all the thinking and guessing out of the workouts. Just open it up and let it take you to a balanced, healthy college career!
